Hero Arts has so many amazing products. I fell in love with the their Luggage Tag alpha dies. I this it's fun to create your own sentiments for your projects. They are particularly amazing if you are a scrapbooker!

I love to start early on my holiday card making so I have chosen to make a Christmas card for this challenge. I die cut the letters once from white cardstock and then once from fun foam for a bit of dimension. I wanted them to really pop so I created a bright red background using distress inks.

I first trimmed down a piece of white cardstock to leave a bit of a white border and then starting with the lightest red I began to ink blend from the center out. I just kept using darker shades of red distress ink as I radiated out and then ultimately I used black distress ink for the corners.

I then used some water and white craft paint to splatter the ink blended background. I die cut a few snowflakes from white cardstock and glued them to the background trimming off the excess. I then adhered the Merry and Bright words on the cardbase which is now affixt to an A2 size card base made from white cardstock. I stamped the word "and" using white pigment ink and heat set it with white embossing powder on a strip of black cardstock and added in between the Merry and the Bright.

STAMPtember Exclusive Newton's Nook

Welcome back for another STAMPtember exclusive collaboration! Todays reveal is Newton's Nook Santa Paws! I have to admit I didn't think these exclusive stamps could get any cuter!!

I have chosen to create a set of holiday gift tags. I wanted to usea each of the adorable critters from the Santa Paws stamps set.

I began by die cutting three tags out of craft cardstock. I then distress the edges with some Vintage Photo distress ink. I then embossed a brick background using white paper and an embossing folder. I then stamped the sentiment from the stamp set using white pigment ink and heat set it with white embossing powder.

Last I stamped out the adorable images using a copic friendly black ink pad and colored them in with copic markers. I added some white detail and fussy cut them out and popped them up on each tag using foam squares. I tied some ribbon and twine that I had in my stash to the tops of the tags.

STAMPtember Exclusive My Favorite Things

Welcome back for another STAMPtember exclusive collaboration! Todays reveal is with My Favorite Things! Who wants to go on a safari?? This adorable stamp set full of the cutest animals is aptly named Sweet Safari. You will make the sweetest projects with these little guys!

I made this card using a top folding A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I ink blended the card base with a bit of blue and yellow distress ink for a background. I then found a sheet of plaid  paper in my stash and used it as inspiration for the color theme of my card. I trimmed down the plaid panel and die cut a circle from the upper center. 

I then stamped the adorable animal images from the stamp set using black copic friendly ink. I colored them in and fussy cut them out. I arranged them inside the ink blended circle. I added some white gel pen details and added a sentiment stamped in black and cut into strips.

STAMPtember Exclusive Trinity Stamps

Welcome back for another STAMPtember exclusive collaboration! Todays reveal is with Trinity Stamps super cute Sledding Gnomes stamp set.

This is an adorable stamp set with holiday images. I especially loved the chubby little winter trees! 

I stamped them using white pigment ink and the heat set them with white embossing powder. I then fussy cut them out and added a foam square to the back of each one. I then die cut a wonky stitched rectangle panel and ink blended the panel in the inks I wanted to color the trees with. I used distress ink because the white embossing resists the ink to leave a nice white outline. I placed the trees on the panel that fit an A2 size cardbase made from smooth white cardstock.

I then chose a sentiment from the stamp set and heat set it using gold embossing powder and cut it out with my paper trimmer and also added foam squares to the back and placed it under the row of trees. Last, for some sparkle, I added a few dots of stickles.

Tim Holtz Use a Background stamp

This week's challenge theme is to Use a Background Stamp!

We are featuring fabulous new products from the amazing Tim Holtz You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see what you make! As always just for entering you will be eligible for the the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!

If I had the choice to use pre-made pattern paper or to make my own it would be no contest! I love to create my own!! Using a background stamp makes it very easy and fun to create your own pattern paper to use on projects. I have even made my own wrapping paper for a gift.

The Tim Holtz products I have chosen to use for this challenge are his amazing classic Distress Inks.

I will list all the colors I used for this project below.

I made an A2 size card base from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down a panel of white cardstock and ink blended it using Carved Pumpkin, Ripe Persimmon, Festive Berries and Picked Raspberry starting from the bottom and working my way up. I used a round blending tool to blend.

I then flicked on water, white paint and gold mica paint onto the panel and set aside to dry. I then die cut out the thin frame and flowers out of more white cardstock. I also die cut out the Miss You die from matte gold cardstock.  When the panel was dry I used a scripty background stamp and some darker inks to stamp over the entire ink blended panel. I arranged the frame, flowers and sentiment to the panel with foam squares and liquid glue.

Lawn Fawn Make It Cute

Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week's challenge theme is Make it Cute!

We are featuring fabulous new products from Lawn Fawn. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see what you make! As always just for entering you will be eligible for the the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!

This week's challenge was so hard for me! Lawn Fawn has so many cute products! So I went with the Small Stitched leaves because they were so cute and Fall is officially crept it's way into our town!

I made this card using an A2 size card base from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down another panel of white cardstock to leave a bit of a border. I then took that panel to my scoring board and using a scoring tool I scored a line at every 1/2 inch on the panel. I then flipped it over and swiped distress ink directly to the scored lines to create the look of a wood fence.

I then die cut the Small Stitched Leaves out nine times from white cardstock. Using distress ink to color them I then ink splattered the leaves with white and gold paint and set them aside to dry.

I then arranged them in a wreath format on the wood panel that I had added to the card base. I popped each leaf up with foam squares for dimension. I then die cut the letters Fall from an alpha die set I had in my stash out of white cardstock and the trim is cut from glitter cardstock.

To finish the card off I heat embossed the word happy out of white embossing powder on to a strip of brown cardstock and added a gingham bow with a glue dot.

STAMPtember Exclusive Clearly Besotted

It's day 10 (I think😀) of STAMPtember's exclusive collaboration! Today's reveal is with Clearly Besotted! One of the cutest stamp companies out there! Clearly, as you can see from the adorable images from this Merry Mix and Match Gnomes stamp set.

I made this card using an A2 size card base using smooth white cardstock. I then stamp on to red cardstock a gingham background using red ink for subtle look and trimmed the panel down to leave about a 1/2 inch white border.

I then stamped the images from the stamp set using a copic friendly ink and colored the images in with copics. I did some easy shading. Nothing too fancy. I then fussy cut out the images and added them to the red panel with foam adhesive.

The sentiment I chose for this card is an oldie but goodie! It's the loopy Merry Christmas die from Simon Says Stamp. I die cut it out once from white cardstock and then once from fun foam for some dimension. I adhered the dies together using liquid glue and then added it to the top and bottom of the stamped images.

STAMPtember Exclusive Whimsy Stamps

It's another wonderful STAMPtember reveal! This time it's with Whimsy Stamps featuring Spooky and Mice stamp set.

Im not a big fan of mice but this Whimsy Spooky and Mice stamp has captured my heart! It's just too cute combined with Halloween how can I not love it!!

I card is made from smooth white cardstock trimmed down to be an A2 size cardbase. I then used the spiderweb stencil and purple distress ink to create my background pattern directly on to the card base. 

I then stamped out all the images from the stamp set using black copic friendly ink and colored them in with copics. I used a white gel pen to add some detail then fussy cut them out and added them to the card with foam squares.

I then die cut the Simply Fabulous die out from white cardstock and colored the letters in using coordinating copic markers. Using more foam squares I popped up each letter to the shadow cut from more white cardstock to make it really stand out.

STAMPtember Exclusive Concord & 9th stamp set

It's another wonderful STAMPtember reveal! This time it's with Concord & 9th introducing the Festive Flower stamp set.

I always love to start my Holiday card making early and this set is perfect to make beautiful holiday cards.

I made this card with an A2 size card base cut from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down a piece of watercolor paper and began to stamp the images from the stamp set with distress ink. I used a paint brush and some water to blend the ink color to give the images a loose water color feel. 

I used gold mica watercolor to paint in between the flowers and leaves and then splattered the panel with white, gold and more distress ink. I used adhesive tape all over the back of the watercolored panel to make sure it didn't warp and adhered it to the card base.

I then die cut the sentiment from white cardstock 3 times and once from matte gold cardstock. I then adhered it to the shadow die cut from white cardstock and added it to the center of the card.
