Nothing is more adorable than a little critter! Especially a cute little owl!
I have been trying my hand at no-line coloring. I thought this cute stamp set from Mama Elephant was perfect for some much needed practice!
To make this card, I started with an A2 size landscape card base using smooth white card stock. I then trimmed down a panel of fog card stock to leave a bit of a border and adhered it to the card base. I then die cut the thanks die out of more white card stock. I then die cut 2 photo frames and used the inside pieces to stencil some colorful clouds. I then stamped the owl images using some light distress ink. I then colored the images using colored pencils. I fussy cut them out and popped them up inside each photo frame die. I stamped the "for owl you do" and trimmed it out and added to the bottom of the frames.

I hope you enjoyed the card i made today and if you are interested in any of the products I used, they are listed and linked below for your convenience. All supplies can be found at the Simon Says Stamp store.

Simon Says Stamp Strawberry card - Yay You release

One of my favorite stamp sets from the Simon Says Stamp Yay You release has to be the Strawbeary stamp set designed byAlberto Gava. If you are familiar with Alberto's posts on Instagram you know that he is an artist and has amasing copic coloring skills. I just fell in love with the adorable little bears and thought it was so fun to have them paired up with strawberries!
My card is just a simple scene with with the little bear cubs frolicking around a stawberry patch. So perfect for the warm upcoming months.
I made this card using a top folding A2 size card base made from smooth white card stock. Using a stitched rectangle die I cut a panel out of more white card stock and then die cut a stitched circle out of the upper middle of the panel.
On the card base where the opening of the cirle would show through, I used some pale blue distress ink for a sky background. Using the MISTI tool I stamped out all the images from the stamp set that I wanted to use for my scene. I stamped them using a copic friendly black ink. I then colored them using the following copics: Bears E30, E31, E34 and R20 for the cheeks, ears and the flowers as well.  Strawberries R17, R37 and R 89. Leaves YG17 and YG25. I used a white gel pen for some highlight detail. I then fussy cut them all out and arranged them using foam adhesive in the center of the circles.
Last, I actually made two cards with two different sentiments all from the same set. Each sentiment was heat embossed using black and red pigment ink and some clear embossing powder.

Clearly Besotted Anything Goes

Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week the challenge theme is Anything Goes!

We are showcasing Clearly Besotted products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see what you make! As always just for entering you will be eligible for the the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!

I had fun coloring this simple but spring themed card using the flower stamp from Clearly Besotted.
I made this card using a top folding A2 size card base made from smooth white card stock. Using a rectangle stitched die I cut a panel that was a bit smaller than the card base to leave a border. I then stamped on that panel the Love Grows Here sentiment in VeraFine Onyx black ink so it would be crisp and dark.
On a separate piece of white card stock I stamped the flowers in copic friendly ink and colored the image with copic markers. The copics I used for the flowers: RV21, Y06, and RV14. The copics I used for the leaves: BG11 and BG23. I then fussy cut them out and popped them up on the panel under the sentiment using foam adhesive.
Last, I added clear stickles gel over the flowers to give them a little shine and sparkle.

I hope you enjoyed the card i made today and if you are interested in any of the products I used, they are listed and linked below for your convenience. All supplies can be found at the Simon Says Stamp store.

Simon Says Stamp Yay You IG Hop

Hello crafty friends! Today I am part of a fun hop over at my Instagram page to celebrate the new Simon Says Stamp Yay You release.
To make this shiny gilded birthday card I used an A2 size card base made from smooth white card stock. I then cut down a panel of white card stock to leave a bit of a border. I then hot foiled the panel with a backgrouond hot foil plate using gold foil. I then took the butterfly and flower hot foil dies and ran them all through the die cut machine using gold foil. I colored the flower and butterflies using copic markers YG01, YR04, YG21, Y13, RV13, and RV14. I heat embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment in gold embossing powder on white card stock and trimmed it down to a strip. I die cut all the hot foil images out and added them to the front of the panel along with the sentiment strip. I then added flat gold pearls.

I have been learning to hot foil recently. I think it has such a beautiful effect on a card.
I have added some photos to show a bit of the process. I added the butterfly hot foil die on the hot plate.
I then added the gold foil shiny face down.
I then added the white card stock and added the plates and waited for it to heat up.
When the light indicated I took it off the hot foil machine and ran it through the die cut machine.
I peeled back the foil to reveal a beautiful gold outline the butterflies and flowers. I then die cut those butterflies and florals using the dies included with the butterfly and floral hot foil set.

Doodlebug Layer it up!

Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week the challenge theme is to Layer it Up!

We are showcasing Doodlebug products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see what you make! As always just for entering you will be eligible for the the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!

I made two cards today featuring the Doodlebug Bake Me Happy Cookie stickers.

I have layered the cookie stickers with cardstock to give them a bit of stability.
Here are the cute Doodlebug Cookie stickers I used...
To make the Happy Birthday card I began with a top folding A2 size card base made from cream card stock. I then cut a panel 1/4 inch smaller than the card base out of smooth white card stock. I then stamped the flowers and leaves on the panel. On a seperate piece of white card stock I stamped the Happy Birthday in coordinating ink and heat embossed the sentiment using clear embossing powder for a little shine. I then fussy cut the sentiment out and popped it up using foam adhesive. I then layered the cookie sticker onto heavy white cardstock to give the stickers more stability and added them under the Happy Birthday sentiment.
To make the Thank You card I used the same cream card stock to make the card base. I then used smooth white card stock to create a panel smaller than the card base to leave a border. I then took the panel and ran it through the die cut machine using an older swiss dots embossing folder. I added the cookie stickers layered with heavy card stock in a row and die cut the words thank you out of a coordinating color card stock and adhered to the panel. I added glossy accents for shine on the thank you sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed my cards today and if you are interested in any of the products I used to make these cards, they are listed and linked below for your convenience. All supplies can be found at the Simon Says Stamp store.

Simon Says Stamp YAY YOU Blog Hop - Day 2

Hello crafty friends! Welcome to day 2 of the new Yay You release from Simon Says Stamp.
There are so many wonderful products in this release. I have used the Basic Box Card Stars die from the new Yay You release to make a fun box card. It's perfect to give to a graduate or someone who has achieved something amazing!
So lets dive right in on how I made this fun card. I began with a piece of Fog card stock for the box. I then die cut the cloud frame as my second layer panel from white card stock and stamped the word Congratulations in red ink on the bottom of the cloud frame. I then cut a piece of acetate and ahered it behind the cloud frame. I die cut the You Did It sentiment from holographic paper and glued it to the center of the acetate to appear to be floating. The next layer panel I used the new Stars add on die and cut it from white card stock. I wanted a splash of color so I used copic markers to color the stars.
For the very last layer of my box card I just cut a panel out of more holographic paper to adhere to the back of the box. I just love the way holographic card stock catches the light! So fun and festive. Then using the tips from Nina's video I added sticky strip tape to the panel layers and and folded it up so they would line up perfectly. I then added a few die cut stars to the front and that's it! If you want to learn the basics on how to put the card box togehter Nina Trapiani's Youtube channel  has a great tutuorial!

Tim Holtz Not a Card

Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week the challenge is to make something that is  Not a Card!

We are showcasing the amazing Tim Holtz products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see what you make! As always just for entering you will be eligible for the the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!

I get so many requests this time a year for weddng cards. I thought it would be fun to make a tag to tie onto a wedding gift.
All out of my Tim Holtz Tags so I improvised and made my own out of Tim Holtz water color card stock. Also, I am excited to use the new Happily Ever After stamp from the new YAY YOU release from Simon Says Stamp which launched today!! I will add a link at the bottom if you want to see the new full release.
Well let's dig into the details on how I made this wedding tag! I used some watercolor paper to make the tag. Using distress ink I blended, ink splatter and spritz with water. It was so fun to have no rules! Just smooshing and splattering with water until I liked what it looked like. I then die cut a stitched hole protector from white card stock and adhered that at the top of the tag and looped some natural twine and tied it into a bow. Using more watercolor paper I die cut an oval to fit my sentiment. I had some more fun fun ink splattering, smooshing and spraying with water in a pretty blue distress ink. When the oval was dry, I then stamped a text background to give it a romantic love letter feel. I then used gold embossing powder to heat embossed the Happily Ever After onto the oval and added it to the tag with some foam adhesive.
Last but not least, I die cut some daisies and stems out of more water color paper. Using a paint brush and water I colored them with distress inks. I added some gold watercolor accents to pull it all together.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and if you are interested in any of the products I used to make this card they are listed and linked below for your convenience. All supplies can be found at the Simon Says Stamp store.

Paper Rose Feminine

Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week the challenge theme is Feminine.

We are showcasing Paper Rose products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see what you make! As always just for entering you will be eligible for the the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!

What's more feminine than flowers? My card today is just packed full of flowers! I made this amazing background using the Paper Rose Lots of Flowers stencil.
I used a soft palate of colors for my card today. I just love using a blender brush and oxide ink with stencils. You can control the shade of color just by the pressure you use when blending.
I started with an A2 size card base made from smooth white card stock. I then trimmed down a panel from more white card stock to stencil some lovely flowers in various colors. I then shifted the stencil a bit and added some white texture paste to give the background an even softer look.
I just love love love dimension and texture to a card! So using a flower stamp set I stamped some flowers out of the same colors I used for the background and trimmed them out and popped them up using some foam adhesive. Using two dies from a nesting rectangle set I stacked them on top of each other and added the stamped flowers for a layered look. I then die cut the word hello from some orange and white card stock and stacked them for thickness. So 1 orange and 3 white in total. I added a few clear sequins for some sparkle.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and if you are interested in any of the products I used to make this card they are listed and linked below for your convenience. All supplies can be found at the Simon Says Stamp store.
