Simon Says Stamp Happy and Joyful Instagram Hop

There is a fun and inspiring Instagram hop going on! To check it out just click on the Instagram button on the right and it will take you to my page. Today I am featuring a card made using products from the new Happy and Joyful release
I had such a blast making this card that I am featuring today!
I began with smooth white card stock that I cut down to make a top folding A2 size card base. I then cut a panel from the the same white card stock. Then, using the Layered Flower stencil from the new release, I ink blended a beautiful background using some distress inks. I love this stencil because you can make a multi-colored background. There are 4 pieces to this stencil. So fun to make!! I then cut a frame out using the Marquee wafer dies. I manipulated the smallest die of the set to make a square. Using embrodery thread I stitched the thread through the die cut dots for a sewn look and tied a cute litte bow for interest.

Last but not least, I stamped the sentiment from the Missing You stamp set in coordinating inks. I cut them out and popped them up using foam adhesive.
This is such a great release. A little something for everyone! If you want to check out the entire release, please click HERE to see it.
I hope you have found lots if inspiration from this post and be sure to check out the Hop on Instagram for so much more! If you are interested in any of the products I used to make this card they are listed and linked below for your convenience. All supplies can be found at the Simon Says Stamp store.

Shaking it up this week using the chunky iridescent glitter from Stampendous.
Using smooth white card stock I made an A2 size card base. Using the same card stock I cut a panel to leave a bit of a border and ink blended the panel with distress oxides in rainbow colors. Using a star layering stencil I stenciled the stars using the same colors. I added a bit more pressure when adding ink to the star stencil.
I then die cut the party hats out of the panel. I added clear acetate to the back of the panel. I also added foam adhesive to pop up the panel leaving room to add the glitter to shake around. Using holographic card stock I die cut the party hat toppers and the background behind the panel. I then added the panel over the the glitter areas. I then die cut the sentiment Let's Party out of more white card stock several times to add thickness.

Simon Says Stamp Happy and Joyful Release Blog Hop Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of the new Simon Says Stamp Happy and Joyful release blog hop! I'm excited to welcome you to my page. I hope you will find lots of inspiration from this blog hop. Please click HERE to see the entire release!
I have made a fun card for you today using a couple of stamp sets from the new release.
When I was in school as a child my favorite thing to do was to color. As far back as I can remember playing with crayons, markers or paint was just pure fun. I once read about the effects of color on human beings can cause excitement while being calming, giving inspiration as well as relieving anxiety or tension.  This rings true with me!! I call it my color therapy when I sit down to color with what ever medium I use. When I saw this Mother Earth stamp set I just knew I would want to color it with Copic markers. I love the way they blend.
I made this card using some smooth white cardstock for the A2 sized card base. I then chose a rectangle die a bit smaller than the front of the card base to leave a border. I then stamped the beautiful ocean scene on a separate sheet of white cardstock and colored it using Copic markers. I then cut it out using a circle die and added it to the upper center of the front panel.
I never have enough birthday cards so I wanted to make this lovely scene into a birthday card. I stamped the sentiments from the Birthday Sentiments stamp set using Simon's Pawsitivly Saturated inks and embossed them using clear embossing powder for a little shine. To finish the card off I add some stickles glitter to add some sparkle.

I hope you have enjoyed your time here and got some inspiration! If you are like me, this will be a fun stamp set to color and relieve a bit of stress!

Also Simon has a fun free item with any purchase👇

Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

We are showcasing Sunny Studios Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see what you make! As always just for entering you will be eligible for the the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!

What a great theme this week! I made a sunny and sparkly card for the challenge. I used some fun scripty alpha dies from Sunny Studios.
I made this card using an A2 top folding card base out of smooth white card stock. Using the same card stock I die cut a stitched rectangle that leaves a bit of a border.
I then die cut the sunrise 5 times. I cut three shades of yellow cardstock and 2 more times from thick white cardstock. I paper pieced the rays and the sun back inside the die. Then I added clear glitter to the surface of the sunrise. I then added 2 more layers of the outline of the sunrise to pop it up and then added a couple of stitched clouds.
I heat embossed the sentiment in gold and die cut the word sunshine from a scripty alpha die set out of turquoise card stock.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and if you are interested in any of the products I used to make this card they are listed and linked below for your convenience. All supplies can be found at the Simon Says Stamp store.

Lawn Fawn Interactive Card

Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week the challenge is to made an Interactive card.

We are showcasing Lawn Fawn Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see what you make! As always just for entering you will be eligible for the the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!

I love interactive cards. I love making them and receiving them. I chose to make a Easter shaker card.

I began with an A2 size cardbase made out of smooth white cardstock. I stamped directly onto the card base a sweet little Easter sence. I colored the scene using copic marker in bright spring colors. I then cut a panel out of smooth white cardstock a bit smaller than the cardbase. Using yellow distress oxide I ink blended a gradient on the panel and then die cut an arch window out of it. Using the next size up arch die I made a border to frame the window. I then took the whole panel and turned it over. I added clear acetate and lots of thick foam adhesive. Before I turned it over to place it on the cardbase I added a some sequins and tiny eggs I stamped and fussy cut out to create the shaker element of my card.

I then stamped a banner to frame my sentiment that I stamped in a coordinating color from the Easter scene. I then stamped a bunny and colored it using copic marker and then fussy cut it out and place the banner and the bunny at the bottom of the window.

I hope this inspires you to make an interative card! There are so many ways to create an interactive card and so many ideas out there. I hope you enjoyed my card today and if you are interested in any of the products I used to make this card they are listed and linked below for your convenience. Hello Gorgeous Mother's Day Card

I wanted to share another card I made with the Simon Says Stamp new Hello Gorgeous release.
Mother's day is coming up and I love making cards for this very special day.

My daughter was the inspriation for this card. She has always been the sunshine in my life. She will be celebrating her 2nd year as a mother and I couldn't be more proud of her! She is such a wonderful mommy to her beautiful son.
I made this card using a top folding A2 size card base out of white cardstock. I then cut a panel from the same cardstock a bit smaller than the cardbase to leave a border. I took that panel and ink blended it using my favorite distress oxides. I then added a stencil over the panel and ink blended those same colors just using a bit more pressure so they would appear darker. Before pulling up the stencil I added some texture glaze using a pallet knife. I then pulled up the stencil and let the panel dry. I then die cut the leaves from vellum paper and ahered down with a dab of glue. Next, I die cut the word mom out of silver card stock and the base out of white card stock. I popped up the word mom using some foam adhesive and adhered it all ontop of the leaves. I then inked and embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder on a colored piece of cardstock. Too finish off the card I added some silver flat backed pearls.

Simon Says Stamp Happy Birthday

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week the challenge is Happy Birthday!

We are showcasing Simon Says Stamp Exclusive products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see what you make! As always just for entering you will be eligible for the the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!

I wanted to make something special because Simon is turning 13!! Happy birthday to such a wonderful company. This card is all about color. I got so much inspiration from the amazing Shari Carroll.

I used a heavy weight card stock to cut an A2 size top folding card base. I then cut two more panels from water color paper the same size. I cut them about quarter inch smaller than the card base.

The first panel I used distress oxides to ink blend a sunset in cool colors. Distress oxides are water reactive so I splattered the panel with a bit of water drops and then took and paper towel to dry leaving some nice texture to the panel. I adhered this panel to the card base.

The sencond panel I ink blended using distress ink in shades of a sunrise. I splattered water, ink, and some white paint to give lots of texture. When it was dry I die cut the sunburst from it and added it to the card base over the first panel using foam adhesive.

I then die cut the Happy Birthday sentiment from more heavy weight card stock three times and ahered them together for thickness. Then I added the pre-printed sub-sentiment underneath.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and if you are interested in any of the products I used to make this card they are listed and linked below for your convenience. All supplies can be found at the Simon Says Stamp store.

You Made Me Who I Am card

Hello crafty friends! Today's blog post is a simple one. I am so in love with this sentiment die from the new Simon Says Stamp Hello Gorgeous release. This card came together very simply and can be used for a Mother's Day card or for someone who has inspired you to be the person you are today!

I made this card using a smooth white card stock to create an A2 top folding card base. Using the same card stock I cut a panel a bit smaller to leave a border and embossed a metallic gold design using a geometric backgrouond stamp. I then took another piece of white cardstock and ink blended some of my favorite distress oxides to create a rainbow gradient. I used this to die cut the You Made Me..sentiment. I then added the sentiment letters to the card by popping them up slighly with foam adhesive. I then die cut a heart out of some gold metallic card stock and added to the card. That's it!

I hope you enjoyed my card today and if you are interested in any of the products I used to make this card, they are listed and linked below for your convenience. All supplies can be found at the Simon Says Stamp store.
