We are showcasing products from Memory Box. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see what you make! As always just for entering you will be eligible for the the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!
Am I getting you tired of the winter yet?? I'm making some waves with this week's challenge. It's Anything Goes so I'm headed to the beach with a Miss You card because I'm missing the beach! I grew up in Southern California and now I'm surrounded by beautiful majestic mountains but every once and a while I sure do miss the ocean!
I've made a fun card featuring the Memory Box Curling Waves Emboss and die cut folder. This 3d folder was a lot of fun to play with.
I made this card with an A2 size card base from a light gray cardstock. I then trimmed down a panel from white cardstock. I ink blended the bottom left corner of the panel with a few distress inks. I spritz it with some water and a few paint splatters and set aside to dry.
Using the emboss and cut set I created some waves. I recommend that you die cut the waves first! Then slip the die cut into the embossing folder and run through the machine for optimal indentation. I then ink blended each individual wave with the same distress inks. I adhered them to the panel with a few 3d foam squares. I trimmed off any waves hanging over the panel and added it to the gray card base. I die cut the sentiment Miss You from a lowercase alpha die set. The "m" is from a different alpha die set. I then stamped the "you" from the Simon Says Stamp To My Favorite stamp set. I die cut the letters from white cardstock and ink blended using distress inks. I added some clear sequins for a bit of sparkle.
Here is a short video to show you the process.

I hope you have enjoyed the project I have made for this fun challenge and got some inspiration. I have listed and provided affiliate links below for your convenience. Thank you so much for stopping by!!

Two Spring cards

Just a couple of projects I created using the Be Creative release from Simon Says Stamp.
This first card was so fun to make. I used the Fantastic Flowers Stamp, Stencil and Die set and the Get Well Soon sentiment die. I also made my own plaid background to highlight the spring colors.
I made this card using an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down another piece of white cardstock to create a panel that I ink blended my own plaid pattern using some post it tape and a few old dashed and line stamps. Using the stencil from the Fantastic Flowers set I ink blended the flowers in coordinating colors and then die cut them out with the die from the set as well. I arranged them in a wreath design around a circle die cut from a piece of colored cardstock.  I then die cut the Get Well Soon sentiment from white cardstock 3 times for thickness and added it to the center of the die cut circle inside the wreath. I then added some white dimensional paint to each center of the flower.
This next card also uses the Fantastic Flowers stamp, stencil and die set and the Big Old Birthday stamp and die set. I made this card using an A2 card base from smooth white cardstock. I then die cut a white panel to adhere my images to. Using the stencil from the Fantastic Flowers stamp set I ink blended the leaves with lots of my favorite distress oxides. I then stamped the stems and die cut them out and arranged them around the white panel. I trimmed off the excess for that classy white border look. I then stamped a sentiment from the Big Old Birthday stamp set and die cut it out. I heat embossed the sentiment using silver embossing powder for some shine. I also added some clear sequins for extra sparkle.

I hope you enjoyed both of these Spring themed cards I have made and got some inspiration! I have provided affiliate links below for all the supplies I have used to make this card. Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have an amazing day!!

Easter Wishes card

Easter is a very special holiday to me and my family. My children are all grown up now but I have very fond memories of the wonderful traditions we created together during Easter. I just love this fun new release from Pretty Pink Posh that includes some really cute Easter and Spring goodies. I was happy to be invited as a guest designer for the new Spring release.
I really enjoy using the Pretty Pink Posh layering stencils. I am using the Layered Chicks stencil set. It is just adorable. I have a little video below demonstrating how I used the stencil set. I made this card with an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock.  I then used the stencils to create this adorable background with the chicks and eggs with distress inks and a few blending brushes.
I then die cut the Easter Wishes Shadow die from the new release from white cardstock 2 times and once  from orange cardstock and adhered them together to create thickness. I added that to the top center of the card along with the shadow cut from white cardstock. I then die cut a frame from the same orange cardstock and adhered around the card with foam strips. I then added a few clear sequins to finish this cute card up!

I hope you enjoyed the Easter card I have made and got some inspiration! I have provided affiliate links below for all the supplies I have used to make this card. Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have an amazing day!!

Spellbinders Spring/Easter

Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week's challenge theme is Spring/Easter

We are showcasing products from Stampendous and Spellbinder's. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see what you make! As always just for entering you will be eligible for the the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!
This week's challenge is to create a Spring or Easter project! I really enjoyed making this card to share this week. Even though it is snowing outside at this very moment, I know very soon I will see lots of colorful blossoms out my window.
I made this card from an A2 size card base cut from a light gray cardstock. I then die cut a panel a bit smaller from white cardstock using the Marquee A2 rectangle dies. I used the Grid stencil and some light gray distress ink to create a background with some interest.
I die cut the flowers from the Spellbinder's Potpourri Petite flower dies. I then colored them with light shades of copic markers. I made the flower pot from the Soft Serve Cone dies. I simply cut a little of the bottom off the cone and ink blended it with the same distress ink I used for the stencil. I arrange the die cut flowers in the pot and added some white flat pearls to the centers of the flowers.
Using a gray dye ink I stamped the sentiment from the Spring Windows stamp set. I then tied a bow from twine and added to the flower pot.

I hope you have enjoyed the project I have made for this fun challenge and got some inspiration. I have listed and provided affiliate links below for your convenience. Thank you so much for stopping by!!

Simon Says Stamp Just For You Sending Love card

Just a quick post of a another card I have made from the new Simon Says Stamp Just For You release
It's been a very long winter here in the mid-west and not a lot of sunshine so I jumped at the chance to use the new Sunshine Background cling stamp. It's so awesome! You can stamp it as one solid background or it comes apart to create a very unique look!
I chose to separate the segments of this fun background stamp so each ray had a different color and pattern. I used shades of yellow and orange inks directly to each stamp segment. I used the MISTI tool to do this. It helped keep the segments in the right place while I added the different colors of ink. The patterns of each sun ray was made using stencils. I did this after I had stamped the entire image. I just masked off each ray with post it tape and laid the stencil over each ray and used a bit darker ink. I then die cut the Sending Love die from the new release from white cardstock 3 times for thickness and adhered together with liquid adhesive and placed it on the sun. The sub-sentiment comes from the Pop-Up Shape Puns stamp set. I stamped it using a coordinating ink on white cardstock and cut it to a strip. It is popped up with some 3d foam squares.
Here is a little video showing a bit of the process.
I hope you enjoyed the project I made using some of the amazing goodies from this fun new release that is just for you!!! I have affiliate links to all the supplies I used to make this card below. Thank you so much for stopping by! If you have any questions or just want to say hi, leave a comment.💕

Simon Says Stamp Just For You Blog Hop - Day 1

I am so glad to be participating in day one of the Simon Says Stamp Just For You new release blog hop!
Make sure you use the code above to receive a discount while you shop until March 19th!

Ahh the flowers of spring! So far they are only in my dreams! This new release has some amazing flowers to play with. I have chosen the Spring Florals Hot Foil Plate and the Daffodil Stem Hot Foil Plate from the Just For You release to create some spring projects for this hop!
This card was made using an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then took a piece of heavy weight cardstock with the Spring Florals hot plate and ran that through my Spellbinder's Glimmer machine using gold glimmer foil. I was so surprised that the first time I ran it through it came out perfect! I think the trick is to let it heat up and not be in a hurry to pull it off. (that's me always) I used copic markers to color the flowers and the stems and then I fussy cut the image out and added to a panel that was die cut with a wonky rectangle die and ink blended with a stencil. I added the Sending die cut from gold cardstock and a sub-sentiment stamped in the same ink I used to stencil the background. For dimension I popped everything up with foam squares.
I had so much fun hot foiling that I was thrilled to see there was another hot foil floral! So I made another card this time for Mother's Day. Again I used an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then took another piece of white cardstock and ran it through the Terrace Floral 3d embossing folder for a textured background that I trimmed to leave a bit of a white border. Using a stitched rectangle die I cut out a panel that had the hot foiled image on it and then masked off the image and added a light blue distress ink and some ink splatters - too much? Probably but oh well, I was having fun. I even ran the Spring Floral hot foil plate a second time so I could cut out three of the blooms to be popped up for dimension. After all was dry I removed the mask and colored the flowers with shades of pink copic markers. I then added the extra flowers and to finish it off I added a bit of white gel pen detail. The sentiment is from the Mother's Day Bouquet stamp set and was heat embossed with gold embossing powder and used the coordinating dies to cut it out. Oh, yes I forgot that I added some sequins to of course!😆

I made a little video to show how nice a shiney that hot foil is on a card!!

I hope you have enjoyed the projects I have shared today and got some inspiration! More inspiration for this amazing release can be found on the Just For You Gallery. I have provided affiliate links to all the supplies I have used to make these projects below as well as a list of all the blog hop participants.

Simon Says Stamp New Just For You release day

Yippee! It's release day! I am so happy to share some projects I made with the new Simon Says Stamp Just For You release.
I have a few projects to share and hopefully it will give you an idea of how much I loved this new release. I feel like I have been waiting for Spring forever! I have made some Easter/Spring themed cards using some of the amazing products from this release.
I have to disclose the fact that I made this card before I saw the amazing Kristina Werner's YouTube video featuring this stencil set and that our colors are almost identical.  That was a happy coincidence. I love that we had the same idea though! I know she designed this stamp and stencil set and it is one of my favs from this release.
*Card base is made an A2 card base from smooth white cardstock
*On white cardstock I used the Folk Art stencil and distress ink to create the image.
*Using the coordinating die and one of the nested rounded heart dies, I cut out the image and matted it on dark blue cardstock.
*Using fog cardstock I die cut a stitched rectangle to create a panel to leave a white border.
*I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Hello stamp set in dark blue ink on more white cardstock.
*Using nesting circle dies I cut out the sentiment from white cardstock and the mat from the dark blue cardstock and added a few clear sequins for sparkle.

The next two cards are made from the same Happy Easter die and the Easter Critters stamp set.
*Both cards are A2 size card bases made from smooth white cardstock.
*I made my own plaid backgrounds for both cards using masking tape and distress ink.
*I trimmed them down to be a bit smaller than the card bases.
*I also used a nested oval die to create the focal point for the Happy Easter sentiment.
*I die cut the Happy Easter die from pink and silver cardstock.
*I then stamped the bunny images from the stamp set onto watercolor paper and colored them with Derwent watercolor pencils.

This last project is made using the Bunny Egg stencil and coordinating die
*The card base is A2 size made from smooth white cardstock.
*Using a gingham background stamp I created a panel stamped in light blue cardstock.
*I trimmed the panel down and matted it with yellow cardstock for a very spring feel.
*Using the stencil and distress ink I colored in the sun and bunny and die cut the image out.
*I die cut the outline of the stenciled image 3 times from thick cardstock for more dimension.
*I then stamped the sentiment from the Pop-up Shape Puns stamp set in light blue ink.
*I then used a banner stamp/die set to frame sentiment and drape it over the stenciled image.
*I added clear glitter to the sun portions of the stenciled image for a bit of sparkle.

I hope you enjoyed the projects I have made for release day and hope you got some inspiration. I have affiliate links listed below if you are interested in all the supplies I used for these projects. Thank you so much for stopping by and happy release day!!

Impression Obsession Recycle It

Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week's challenge theme is Recycle It!

We are showcasing products from Impression Obsession. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see what you make! As always just for entering you will be eligible for the the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!
This week's challenge is to Recycle It! I have decided to go through my craft supplies and use some older embossing folders that I have had for a long time. I have also decided to make a few wedding cards. I never seem to have enough of those.
I have made 2 different but similar layouts using the Impression Obsession Mr & Mrs die. This first set uses ribbon to accent and the die is arranged in a single line at the bottom of the card.
This next style is very similar except the colors are softer and the die is stacked and matted with a scallop circle frame.

Here is a short video that shows the process of adding some shine to the embossed and inked backgrounds.

I hope you have enjoyed the project I have made for this fun challenge and got some inspiration. I have listed and provided affiliate links below for your convenience. Thank you so much for stopping by!!

Pretty Pink Posh Instagram Hop Spring Greetings

Hello! I am happy to be participating in the Pretty Pink Posh's Spring release Instagram Hop. I hope you enjoy the project I have made for this hop and get some inspiration!
I love making shaker cards. So my card today features the Umbrella shaker die. It is just so adorable and I thought it would be perfect for a spring card.
I made this card using an A2 card base from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down a panel of white cardstock a bit smaller to leave a white border. Using distress ink, I blended the top of the panel with blue. Then I turned it around and blended the other side with green for a soft grass and sky look.
I then die cut the umbrella out of heavy weight cardstock 3 times. I then trimmed down a piece of acetate to be adhered to the first umbrella die and then added the next 2 after that so there would be room for the shader bits. I then die cut the Spring from the Happy Spring Shadow dies out of colored cardstock and adhered it across the handle of the umbrella. I then added the adorable Pretty Pink Posh clay confetti bits for the shaker element. I then die cut several flowers from the Umbrella Shaker die set out of different shades of cardstock and added them randomly around the card with foam adhesive to pop them up.
I hope you enjoyed my card for the Pretty Pink Posh Instagram Hop today. I have listed and linked the supplies I have used below. Thank you so much for stopping by!
