Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
This week's challenge theme is Anything Goes!
We are showcasing products from Newton's Nook Designs. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see what you make! As always just for entering you will be eligible for the the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!
I love when the challenge theme is Anything Goes! The possibilities are endless. I just love playing with stencils so I choose the Newton's Nook Petite Flower stencil to play with.
I wanted to play with some color and first I was going to use some water colors but sadly realized I was out of water color paper! So I created a water colored look with distress oxide inks. I have a video below to show you the process.
I created the base of the card using smooth white cardstock cut to an A2 size card base. I then used another piece of white cardstock to create my ink blended background. I then laid the stencil on top of the inked background and applied white texture paste and set it aside to dry.
From heavy white cardstock I die cut the Etched Layered Daisy Stem and added to the Thin Frames circle die and cut the bottom of the flower stem so it would fit inside the circle. I then die cut just the center of the flower from silver cardstock and also the Happy Birthday die and adhered them to the card with glue.
It's really a pretty easy card to put together and I think it has a great impact.
I hope you have enjoyed the card I made today and got some inspiration! For your convenience I provided affiliate links to all of the products I have used for this card.
