Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
This week's challenge theme is No Patterned Paper!
We are showcasing products from Picket Fence Studios. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see what you make! As always just for entering you will be eligible for the the drawing of a $25 shopping spree at the Simon store!
It's no secret that I'm in love with Picket Fence's Paper Glitz! So I wanted to make a trio of cards showcasing this fabulous glaze.
I also wanted to make some cards to send to loved ones that are struggling with their health. I have been having some health issues and I know how amazing it feels to get a handmade card from someone that wants to brighten your day!
This first card is made with an A2 size card base from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down another piece of white cardstock and ink blended it using distress oxides in yellow and greens. Using a pallet knife I spread an even layered of the Paper Glitz all over the ink blended panel and set it aside to dry. I die cut the Feel Better Soon die from white cardstock and fun foam and adhered it together to make it pop off the card. I die cut some flowers from white cardstock and used a copic marker to add color to the centers of the flowers. When the ink blended pane was dry, I ran it through the Floral Field embossing folder for an amazing texture and shine to the background. I added the sentiment and flowers to finish it off.
The second card is much like the first. It also was made with an A2 size card base from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down another piece of white cardstock and ink blended it using distress oxides in purple and pinks and added the Paper Glitz and ran it through the Picnic Floral embossing folder as well. I used the same die cut sentiment and also added a trio of flowers.
This last card is a bit different. Instead of an embossing folder, I used the Paper Glitz with a stencil. I first used pastel oxides to ink blend on a panel made of white cardstock that I trimmed down to fit onto an A2 size card base. I then added the Berries and Leaves stencil over the inked panel. I then used a darker version of oxides over the stencil and then used the Paper Glitz over that. I set that aside to dry while I washed the stencil and pallet knife. Again I used the same Feel Better die. I also added some paint splatters and flat pearls for some added shine.
I hope you enjoyed the cards I have made today and got some inspiration! I have provided affiliate links to all the supplies I used to make these cards for your convenience. Thank you so much for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment if you have any questions about this post.
