Whimsy Stamps Anything Goes

Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week's challenge is Anything Goes!

We are showcasing Whimsy Stamps this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see what you make! As always just for entering you will be eligible for the the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!
I have made a fun birthday card to showcase the gorgeous Whimsy butterfly stamp set.
I made this card using an A2 size cardbase made from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down another panel of white cardstock to create an ink resist background. I stamped three of the butterfly images from the stamp set all over the panel using VersaMark ink and white embossing powder. I heat set that with a heat tool and let cool. I began to ink blend the embossed panel at the top left corner and worked my way down to the bottom right corner. Using a napkin, I gently wiped away ink that had been left behind on the butterfly images. I then die cut the happy birthday and streamers and added them to the card with foam adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed the card I made today and if you are interested in any of the products I used, they are listed and linked below for your convenience. All supplies can be found at the Simon Says Stamp store.

Newton's Nook STAMPtember exclusives

Today Simon Says Stamp is revealing the exclusive STAMPtember collaboration with Newton's Nook

If you fall in love with this stamp set, don't wait to grab it because once these exclusive collaborations sell out they are gone forever!!

I just flipped when I saw this Warm and Cozy Wishes collaboration set with Simon! So much that I had to make two cards!
Both cards are made from smooth white cardstock cut to an A2 size cardbase.  I stamped one using black copic friendly ink and colored the images in using copic markers. The other was stamped using a very light distress ink. I believe it was antique linen and colored using prisma colored pencils for a no-line coloring effect. The copic colored card has a distress inked background while the prisma colored card has a pattern paper background. I stamped the copic colored card's sentiment using more black ink. The sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder on the colored pencil card. I hope this wasn't too confusing but if you have any questions, just leave me a comment!

I hope you enjoyed stopping by to see my two creations! Here is a list and links to all the supplies I used to make these cards. Happy STAMPtember!!

I stamp the sentiment using the same oxide inks and clear embossing powder to create some shine. I stamped the sub-sentiment underneath in black ink. I added some flat pearls for some interest.

While that was drying, I stamped the coffee cup image from the stamp set in black copic friendly ink and colored them using copic markers. I then fussy cut them out and arranged them around the sentiment from the stamp set that I stamped using red ink and cut out with a oval die. Altenew Card plus matching envelope

Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week's challenge is Card + Matching Envelope.

We are showcasing Altenew products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see what you make! As always just for entering you will be eligible for the the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!
Christmas is just around the corner! I try every year to send out Christmas/Holiday cards to friends and family. Wanting to make Christmas cards was one of the reason I started making cards over 20 years ago. So today I have made a fun Christmas/Holiday card for this week's challenge. I was heavily inspired by Laura Bassen when I chose these colors. They are not so traditional but still has a holiday feel.
I made this card with an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then cut a panel using a stitched rectangle die out of cream colored cardstock. I then pulled out my scraps of cardstock and cut strips of red, pink, orange, yellow and green. I used tape runner to adhere them to a scrap piece of cardstock and then used a circle die to cut out a colorful background for my sentiment. My sentiment JOY was die cut using Altenew's big alpha dies out of white cardstock. I popped the letters up in the center of the circle and added die cut snowflakes around the card. The sub-sentiment was embossed in white on a black strip of cardstock. I have a red envelope to match my card.
I hope you enjoyed the card I made today and if you are interested in any of the products I used, they are listed and linked below for your convenience. All supplies can be found at the Simon Says Stamp store.

If you fall in love with this stamp set, don't wait to grab it because once these exclusive collaborations sell out they are gone forever!!

I used the Riley & Co. It's Your Day stamp set to create this fun birthday card.
I love the clean and simple look of a card. It's probably my favorite card to make. I feel like this stamp set lends itself to a CAS card. I made this card using an A2 size cardbase made from smooth white cardstock. I then masked off a seperate panel from white cardstock with a circle die cut into vellum to create a stencil. I then used post it tape to make a flat bottom to the circle mask and used distress ink to blend a colorful background. I then stamped the images from the stamp set onto white cardstock using black copic friendly ink and colored the images in with copic markers. I fussy cut them out and heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder to make it stand out. I added the images to the ink blended semi-circle and added some more stamped and colored images like the balloon and the little snail. I finished this card off by stamping the Happy Birthday sentiment underneath and popping the whole panel up using foam adhesive.

Lawn Fawn Little Critters

Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week's challenge is Little Critters.

We are showcasing Lawn Fawn products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see what you make! As always just for entering you will be eligible for the the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!
I know an elephant and giraffe is not considered a little critter but when they are only about 2 inches tall I just had to use them! Lawn Fawn is known for their amazing interactive products so I wanted to make this pop up platform card using all these adorable animals.
I used the platform pop up die from Lawn Fawn to make the base of this interactive card. With the exception of the sentiment that I embossed with white embossing powder, I have used all die cuts. I also used a variety of colored cardstock.
I made a little video showing how this pop up card will fit nicely in an envelope. This pop up card was designed to fit inside an A2 size envelope but because my giraffe's head poked out the top a bit, I have decided to use a 5x7 envelope.

I hope you enjoyed the card I made today and if you are interested in any of the products I used, they are listed and linked below for your convenience. All supplies can be found at the Simon Says Stamp store.

Memory Box STAMPtember exclusive

Today Simon Says Stamp is revealing the exclusive STAMPtember collaboration with Memory Box!

If you fall in love with this stamp set, don't wait to grab it because once these exclusive collaborations sell out they are gone forever!!

Even though it's over 100 degrees outside the holidays are fast approaching. Using the gorgeous image from this exclusive Memory Box Beautiful Moments stamp set I have made a Christmas card.
I began with an A2 size card base made from white cardstock. Using a stitched rectangle die I cut a panel out of light grey cardstock. I used the poinsettia, berries and leaf images to stamp and embossed using white embossing powder. I then stamped the images onto white card stock and heat embossed them again using more white embossing powder. I then cut the images apart and ink blended them using distress ink with a finger dauber. I fussy cut each leaf, berry and the flower out. I ink blended a shadow onto the gray card stock where I had first stamped the image for added dimension. I then glued the pieces onto the gray cardstock. I know it might sound confusing but just look at the image and you should be able to see what I did. I found a stitched tag die in my stash to showcase the sentiments from the stamp set. I then heat embossed the wishes in silver embossing powder and fussy cut it out and popped it up using foam squares. I popped up the poinsettia flower as well. I then added some shiny pearl accents.
If you want to grab this Memory Box stamp set I have listed it and linked all the products I used to create this card.
Thank you for stopping by and happy STAMPtember!!

I used a stencil and more distress oxide inks to color the panel that I die cut 3 circles to create the shaker elements.
